                                     CALENDAR GIRLSTHE FAREWELL TOUR!

      27TH FEBRUARY – 3RD MARCH 2012 – GRAND CANAL THEATRE, DUBLIN

Following a Sell-Out run at Grand Canal Theatre earlier this year CALENDAR GIRLS makes a welcome return to Grand Canal Theatre from MONDAY, 27TH FEBRUARY – SATURDAY, 3RD MARCH 2012.

CALENDAR GIRLS has become the most successful play ever to tour and has taken more at the box office than the original film with ticket sales in excess of £21 million.

The award winning producers of CALENDAR GIRLS, David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers, have announced that this will be the farewell tour before the amateur rights are released on 1 September 2012. So this is your last chance to see the original Calendar Girl herself, LYNDA BELLINGHAM for ONE WEEK ONLY at Grand Canal Theatre from Monday, 27th February – Saturday, 3rd March 2012.

A group of ordinary women, members of a very ordinary Yorkshire WI, spark a global phenomenon by persuading one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference! As interest snowballs, the CALENDAR GIRLS find themselves revealing more than they’d ever planned…

Original star of CALENDAR GIRLS, LYNDA BELLINGHAM continues to present ITV’s popular afternoon chat show Loose Women. Other credits include the long running series of OXO television ads and Helen Herriot in All Creatures Great and Small. JAN HARVEY played Jan Howard in the BBC’s long running Howard’s Way. Other television credits include the BBC action series Bugs as well as Babs Woods in Family Affairs. SUE HOLDERNESS is best known as Marlene Boyce in the BBC’s hugely popular Only Fools and Horses as well as the spin off series The Green Green Grass. On stage, Su’s credits include Alan Ayckbourn’s Relatively Speaking and How the Other Half Loves.

CALENDAR GIRLS is directed by JACK RYDER with set design by ROBERT JONES, lighting by TIM LUTKIN, costumes by JACK GALLOWAY and music by STEVE PARRY. CALENDAR GIRLS is produced by David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers.
